Lions To Sign Drayton Florence On Sunday, According To Report

Cornerback Drayton Florence is in fact on the verge of joining the Detroit Lions. Lions wide receiver Kassim Osgood tweeted on Saturday that Florence was joining the team, and it came out later in the day that Florence was set to visit the team before the end of the weekend. Now, Pro Football Talk is reporting that Florence will sign with the Lions on Sunday.

As expected, CB Drayton Florence will sign with the Lions today.

With Florence set to join the team, the Lions will have to decide on who to let go from their 53-man roster. Cornerback Jonte Green and safety Ricardo Silva seem like the two most logical candidates, and chances are the player who gets cut will end up being signed to the Lions' practice squad if he clears waivers.
