Matthew Stafford says his leg injury is 'getting better'

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz has made it pretty clear that if we want to find out about quarterback Matthew Stafford's status for Sunday, we are going to have to wait until the final injury report of the week comes out. Schwartz isn't willing to share any details, and neither is Stafford. He deferred to Schwartz when asked about specifics of his injury and whether or not he will play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Stafford did at least say that his injury is improving. He didn't share many details, but he did give us some kind of an update. From MLive:

"I'm getting better," Stafford said. "I feel better today than I did on Sunday. Just taking it day-by-day. Just trying to get better."

Stafford missed practice on Wednesday because of his leg injury. It remains to be seen if he will play this week given the lack of details and that it's only Wednesday, but I still think he will end up starting for the Lions.
