NFL playoff schedule 2013: A look at Sunday's games

Sunday's NFL playoff schedule features two games: Seahawks at Falcons and Texans at Patriots. Which teams will advance one step closer to the Super Bowl?

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL playoff schedule for Sunday will determine the final two spots in this year's conference championship games. The early game features the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons, while the Houston Texans will battle the New England Patriots in the later game. Here's more on each matchup:

Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons - 1 p.m. ET, FOX

SB Nation coverage: Field Gulls, The Falcoholic

Prediction: Seahawks. All of the pressure is on the Falcons in this game. They have become well known for their playoff struggles the last few years, and to shake off critics, they have to beat the red-hot Seahawks. I don't think they will. The Seahawks have a good enough secondary to shut down Julio Jones and Roddy White, and I see Marshawn Lynch pushing Seattle to a late victory.

Houston Texans at New England Patriots - 4:30 p.m. ET, CBS

SB Nation coverage: Battle Red Blog, Pats Pulpit

Prediction: Patriots. I don't think this game will be a blowout like when the Patriots and Texans met on Monday Night Football, but I would be surprised if the end result is anything other than a victory for New England.
