It has been a busy day for the Detroit Lions. After a couple weeks of zero activity with their coaching staff, they made several moves on Monday. Here's a quick recap:
Hired: Running backs coach Curtis Modkins from Buffalo Bills, tight ends coach Bobby Johnson from Jacksonville Jaguars
Reassigned: Tight ends coach Tim Lappano to wide receivers coach
Promoted: Assistant offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn to offensive line coach
Left for Bills: Special teams coordinator Danny Crossman
What all of this means is that the Lions now only have one vacancy on their coaching staff -- at special teams coordinator. I would imagine they will try to quickly fill this position in order to finalize their staff before the Senior Bowl next week. For now, though, the coaching staff isn't completely filled up.
