Where the Detroit Lions coaching staff stands following Monday's moves

With the Detroit Lions making so many coaching moves on Monday, let's take a look at an overview of the staff.

It has been a busy day for the Detroit Lions. After a couple weeks of zero activity with their coaching staff, they made several moves on Monday. Here's a quick recap:

Hired: Running backs coach Curtis Modkins from Buffalo Bills, tight ends coach Bobby Johnson from Jacksonville Jaguars

Reassigned: Tight ends coach Tim Lappano to wide receivers coach

Promoted: Assistant offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn to offensive line coach

Left for Bills: Special teams coordinator Danny Crossman

What all of this means is that the Lions now only have one vacancy on their coaching staff -- at special teams coordinator. I would imagine they will try to quickly fill this position in order to finalize their staff before the Senior Bowl next week. For now, though, the coaching staff isn't completely filled up.

Here's a look at where things currently stand:

Running backs/run game coordinator: Curtis Modkins

Offensive line: Jeremiah Washburn

Defensive line: Kris Kocurek
Linebackers: Matt Burke
Assistant linebackers: Bradford Banta
Secondary/third down package: Tim Walton
Defensive assistant/secondary: Marcus Robertson

Special teams
