Let's examine a few injury updates from Sunday, starting first with Theo Riddick and Tony Scheffler. Neither player even made the trip to Cleveland for Sunday's game against the Browns after suffering a concussion in Week 5, according to Dave Birkett. There's no timetable for when they will be back, but the fact that the Detroit Lions are planning to work out tight ends on Monday doesn't exactly seem promising for Scheffler's status.
The Lions may be in need of extra depth at running back as well depending on how Joique Bell feels this week. He suffered a rib injury against the Browns and was forced to leave the game. The good news is his X-rays came back negative, so hopefully that's a positive sign for his status against the Cincinnati Bengals. If he can't go, Mikel Leshoure will likely become the No. 2 running back.
Rashean Mathis also left Sunday's game. He injured his groin and couldn't finish the game, but he made it sound like his absence was precautionary more than anything. If he's unable to go in Week 7, look for Darius Slay to start in his place at cornerback.
Finally, Glover Quin tweeted that he simply had some cramps at the end of Sunday's game. He left the field slowly on one of the final plays, but it appears that he's not actually injured.
