It's official: Chris Greenwood is back with the Detroit Lions as a member of their practice squad. As reported earlier on Thursday, Greenwood re-signed with the Lions' practice squad after being released by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this week.
Who did the Lions release to make room for Greenwood on their practice squad? It turns out that running back Steven Miller was let go. This is a bit of a surprise considering the Lions still have three wide receivers on their practice squad. That seems a bit excessive, but perhaps the Lions viewed Miller as expendable with the addition of wide receiver Jeremy Ross, who can also serve as a returner.
Here's a look at the Lions' updated practice squad:
WR Patrick Edwards
WR Corey Fuller
WR Jeremy Ross
OG Rodney Austin
DT Jimmy Saddler-McQueen
DT Xavier Proctor
LB Brandon Hepburn
CB Chris Greenwood
