In Week 7, the Detroit Lions' future opponents combined to go 4-5. Here's a look at how each team performed:
Week 8 - vs. Cowboys (4-3) - beat Eagles, 17-3
This was a surprisingly low-scoring game. Dallas held Philly to only 278 total yards, and the Cowboys forced 3 turnovers. All the Eagles could manage on Sunday was a field goal at the start of the fourth quarter.
Week 10 - at Bears (4-3) - lost to Redskins, 45-41
Jay Cutler is going to miss at least four weeks after tearing a groin muscle in this game. (Lance Briggs, meanwhile, is out six weeks after suffering a fracture in his shoulder.) Josh McCown, Cutler's replacement, did an admirable job in relief for the Bears, as he went 14 for 20 for 204 yards and a touchdown. It wasn't enough to win the game, though, as the Bears defense allowed the eventual game-winning touchdown with 45 seconds to go in the fourth quarter.
Week 11 - at Steelers (2-4) - beat Ravens, 19-16
Pittsburgh finally put together a decent performance on the ground with Le'Veon Bell rushing for 93 yards on 19 carries. Finding the end zone remained a challenge, but 4 field goals by Shaun Suisham, including one on the final play of the game, helped give the Steelers their second win of the season.
Week 12 - vs. Buccaneers (0-6) - lost to Falcons, 31-23
Tampa Bay actually trailed 24-7 at one point in this game. The Bucs were able to make things a bit interesting with 3 field goals and a second touchdown pass to Vincent Jackson, but the Falcons held on for the victory.
Week 13 - vs. Packers (4-2) - beat Browns, 31-13
Green Bay held a 24-6 lead at one point and flat out dominated the Browns. The Packers outgained Cleveland by a margin of 357-216, and this one was never really in doubt.
Week 14 - at Eagles (3-4) - lost to Cowboys, 17-3
Nick Foles was only 11 for 29 for 80 yards before he was knocked out of this game with a concussion. Matt Barkley replaced him and went 11 for 20 for 129 yards and 3 interceptions. Suddenly, it looks like Michael Vick has a very good chance of remaining the Eagles' starting quarterback once he's healthy.
Week 15 - vs. Ravens (3-4) - lost to Steelers, 19-16
The Ravens offense continues to disappoint. Joe Flacco went 24 for 34 for 215 yards, but he only had 1 touchdown. Meanwhile, Ray Rice picked up only 45 yards on 15 carries. The defending champions are now a disappointing 3-4 on the season.
Week 16 - vs. Giants (1-6) - beat Vikings, 23-7
Eli Manning finally made it through a game without throwing an interception, and the Giants finally won their first game of the season. It was ugly, but they'll definitely take it at this point.
Week 17 - at Vikings (1-5) - lost to Giants, 23-7
Josh Freeman's stat line really speaks for itself: 20 for 53 for 190 yards and an interception. Yikes.
