Three Detroit Lions players not named Nate Burleson missed practice on Thursday: wide receiver Calvin Johnson, linebacker Ashlee Palmer and cornerback Chris Houston. Palmer is a new addition to this week's injury report, but he's been on it earlier in the season because of an ankle injury. Johnson and Houston, on the other hand, have now missed two straight practices.
At this point, it seems unlikely that Houston is going to play on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers because of his hamstring injury. Johnson is dealing with a knee injury, but his absence seems more like a chance to rest than a sign that he won't play. As we found out last season, Johnson doesn't really need practice to perform on Sundays, and I'd imagine that's the case with this injury. In other words, expect Megatron to be good to go at Lambeau Field.
