Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed practice on Wednesday, but that wasn't too surprising. He's gotten Wednesdays off throughout the season to rest up various bumps and bruises before returning later in the week.
This week, Johnson also missed practice on Thursday. Sitting out back-to-back practices created some panic over the possibility that Johnson won't be able to play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he dismissed that notion when speaking to the media later in the day.

With Nate Burleson's return not expected to come this week, the Lions really can't afford to be without Johnson as well. Actually, they couldn't afford to be without Johnson even if Burleson was returning, so hopefully Megatron will in fact be good to go by Sunday.
