Despite practicing all week, the Detroit Lions have decided to rule out wide receiver Nate Burleson for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. This means that Burleson's return to action will have to wait at least another week. Clearly, the Lions don't want to rush Burleson back and risk a re-injury of his arm, so he is out this week.
Also (likely) out this week are offensive tackle Corey Hilliard, defensive end Ziggy Ansah and cornerback Bill Bentley. All three players are listed as doubtful for Sunday's game after missing practice all week, so don't expect any of them to be able to play in Chicago.
Here's the Lions' full final injury report:
RB Reggie Bush (knee) - Probable
WR Calvin Johnson (knee) - Probable
WR Nate Burleson (forearm) - Out
OT Corey Hilliard (knee) - Doubtful
DE Ziggy Ansah (ankle) - Doubtful
LB Travis Lewis (ankle) - Probable
CB Bill Bentley (knee) - Doubtful
S Louis Delmas (knee) - Probable
S Glover Quin (ankle) - Probable
And here's the Bears' final injury report (take note that Shea McClellin is doubtful after getting hurt in practice):
QB Jay Cutler (groin) - Probable
TE Dante Rosario (ankle) - Probable
OG James Brown (illness) - Probable
DE Shea McClellin (hamstring) - Doubtful
DT Jay Ratliff (groin) - Out
LB Lance Briggs (shoulder) - Out
LB Blake Costanzo (back) - Probable
CB Charles Tillman (knee) - Probable
LS Patrick Mannelly (calf) - Out
