How Lions' future opponents fared in Week 14

A look at how the Detroit Lions' future opponents performed in Week 14 of the season.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

In Week 14, the Detroit Lions' future opponents combined to go 1-2. Here's a look at how each team performed:

Week 15 - vs. Ravens (7-6) - beat Vikings, 29-26

Baltimore took a 15-12 lead with 2:05 left in this game, and then all hell proceeded to break loose. Baltimore allowed a 41-yard touchdown run by Toby Gerhart before answering with a 77-yard Jacoby Jones kick return for a touchdown. Cordarrelle Patterson then went 79 yards on a catch for another touchdown before the Ravens drove down the field and won the game with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Marlon Brown with 4 seconds to spare. The final couple minutes of this game were bananas, and Baltimore managed to hang on to the No. 6 seed in the AFC with the victory.

Week 16 - vs. Giants (5-8) - lost to Chargers, 37-14

New York's disaster of a season continued with a blowout loss to San Diego. The Giants were down 24-0 at halftime, and they really just couldn't get anything going. Eli Manning threw 2 more interceptions and Andre Brown lost a fumble in this one, contributing to the loss.

Week 17 - at Vikings (3-9-1) - lost to Ravens, 29-26

Minnesota somehow managed to lose this game despite scoring a pair of touchdowns in a span of 42 seconds in the final minute and a half of the fourth quarter. Even worse for Minnesota, Adrian Peterson suffered a mid-foot sprain that could keep him out for the final three weeks of the season.
