Lions injury report: Seven players miss practice

The Detroit Lions were without seven players at practice on Thursday.

The Detroit Lions held their first practice of the week on Thursday. Despite getting an extra day off because they don't play until Monday night, seven players missed Thursday's practice, including running back Reggie Bush, defensive end Ziggy Ansah and cornerback Chris Houston.

Bush's absence was the most notable of the bunch, but he said after practice that it was just precautionary.

Bush missed last Sunday's game after re-aggravating his calf injury in warmups. This week, with the extra day off, the expectation is that he will be good to go by Monday night. With the Lions not having to worry about the weather this week, hopefully there won't be any additional setbacks.

Here's the Lions' full injury report for Thursday:

RB Reggie Bush (calf) - Did not practice
WR Calvin Johnson (knee) - Limited in practice
OT LaAdrian Waddle (elbow) - Limited in practice
DE Ziggy Ansah (shoulder) - Did not practice
DE Israel Idonije (knee) - Did not practice
CB Chris Houston (toe) - Did not practice
CB Darius Slay (knee) - Did not practice
S Louis Delmas (knee) - Did not practice
S John Wendling (illness) - Did not practice
