As expected, Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Pettigrew missed practice all week after hurting his ankle on Monday night, and he will not be able to play this week as a result. Look for a heavy dose of Joseph Fauria and Dorin Dickerson, and expect to see Dylan Gandy in as well in obvious running situations.
In other injury news, linebacker DeAndre Levy is questionable despite not practicing at all this week. Gunther Cunningham said this on Friday when asked about Levy's status for Sunday's game:
Gunther Cunningham said he expects Levy to play Sunday, hasn't practiced this week

The Lions could obviously use Levy this week against the interception-prone Eli Manning, so hopefully Cunningham's assessment of the situation is accurate.
