NFL.com's Gil Brandt released his 2013 NFL Draft rankings on Monday. The rankings include a total of 100 players and a breakdown of the top 25 players on the list.
Headlining the rankings are three potential targets of the Detroit Lions. Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel comes in at No. 1 and receives a comparison to Joe Thomas. Second on the list is Florida State defensive end Bjoern Werner, who reminds Brandt of Jared Allen. Third on the list is Alabama offensive guard Chance Warmack, who Brandt compares to Steve Hutchinson.
These rankings aren't necessarily anything groundbreaking, but it's nice to see that Brandt is a fan of Werner. I say that because Mike Mayock is down on the defensive ends in this year's class. Considering the Lions' most likely pick in the first round is a defensive end, I like that Werner is ranked so high by Brandt.
As for some other potential Lions targets, Texas A&M defensive end Damontre Moore checks in at No. 6, Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher is seventh, Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner comes in at No. 8 and Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones ranks ninth.
