It's been a couple weeks since we last updated the 2013 NFL mock draft database. As a result, now is a good time to do just that and take a look at which players are projected to be drafted by the Detroit Lions. Are there any noticeable changes from the last update to this one? We'll get to that in a bit. First, let's examine the database.

Just like last time, most of these mock drafts have the Lions going with a defensive end in the first round. However, the number is down a bit. 18 of the 31 mocks have a defensive end going to the Lions at No. 5 compared to 21 last time. Here's a more in-depth breakdown:

Positions (first round)

  • Defensive end - 18
  • Cornerback - 10
  • Offensive tackle - 1
  • Outside linebacker - 1
  • Safety - 1

Interestingly enough, the most popular pick is Milliner. There is a lot of disagreement over which defensive end the Lions should take, but it's clear that if the Lions go cornerback, Milliner is expected to be the pick.

Players (first round)

  • CB Dee Milliner - 10
  • DE Damontre Moore - 7
  • DE Bjoern Werner - 7
  • DE Barkevious Mingo - 2
  • OT Eric Fisher - 1
  • DE Ezekiel Ansah - 1
  • DE Dion Jordan - 1
  • OLB Jarvis Jones - 1
  • S Kenny Vaccaro - 1
