The Detroit Lions have tendered three of their four exclusive-rights free agents, according to the Free Press' Dave Birkett. Fullback Shaun Chapas, wide receiver Kris Durham and safety Ricardo Silva all reportedly received their tenders on Monday. This means all three players will be back with the Lions in 2013.
We found out last week that Chapas was going to be tendered, but the Durham and Silva news is new. That's not to say it's unexpected, though. Durham was expected to be tendered after he joined the active roster for the final four games of last season, and Silva was a lock as well after starting six games for the Lions in 2012.
The only ERFA without a tender that we know of is running back Joique Bell. He is a lock to return as well, so it's only a matter of time until he is tendered if he hasn't been already.
Also on Monday, the Lions tendered restricted free agent Jason Fox. It doesn't appear they have made a decision yet on defensive end Willie Young and safety Amari Spievey, who are the Lions' other two restricted free agents this year.
