The Detroit Lions hosted 14 local draft prospects for a workout on Wednesday.

In addition to wrapping up their pre-draft visits, the Detroit Lions held a workout for local prospects on Wednesday. There were 14 local prospects in attendance for the workout, and the list included players who attended college and/or high school in the Detroit area. Via the Lions' official site, here's the full list:

  • RB George Winn (Cincinnati/Southfield)
  • RB Tim Hogue (Saginaw Valley State/Inkster)
  • FB Matt Boyd (Eastern Michigan/Detroit)
  • WR Cody Wilson (Central Michigan/Rochester Hills)
  • WR Myles White (Louisiana Tech/Livonia)
  • TE Luke Wilson (Rice/LaSalle, ON)
  • OG Chris McDonald (Michigan State/Sterling Heights)
  • DE Freddie Bishop (Western Michigan/Inkster)
  • DT Michael Atkinson (Boise State/Windsor, ON)
  • DT Will Campbell (Michigan/Detroit)
  • LB Kenny Demens (Michigan/Oak Park)
  • CB Damond Smith (South Alabama/Inkster)
  • CB Mitchell White (Michigan State/Livonia)
  • K Jack Griffin (Florida International/Grosse Pointe Park)

The vast majority of these players will likely go undrafted, but that simply means they will be candidates to be signed as undrafted free agents. The Lions often bring in local guys as UDFAs to serve as camp bodies, so it's possible a few guys from this list could end up on their roster when all is said and done.
