Happy Birthday to us: Pride Of Detroit turns seven

Seven years ago, I was a sophomore in high school readying for the 2006 NFL Draft and the launch of Pride Of Detroit. I can honestly say that I never thought I would be writing about the 2013 NFL Draft on this same site seven years later, but here we are. Pride Of Detroit has reached its seventh birthday, and from a traffic and activity standpoint, it's stronger than ever before.

It's extremely hard to believe that Pride Of Detroit is now seven years old, just as it's hard to believe that a year has already gone by since I graduated from the University of Michigan. It's certainly been a different experience writing about the Detroit Lions without classes always in the back of my mind, but that's simply meant that I have been able to put more focus on this site.

Who knows what the future will hold for me or Pride Of Detroit, but I just want to say thanks to everybody who reads the site. We went over 115,000 page views just for Friday alone, and we have now crossed a total of 26.5 million page views in our history. I'm extremely proud and grateful for those numbers, and I look forward to continuing to build upon them going forward.
