2013 NFL Draft: Dion Jordan to visit Lions, according to report

The Detroit Lions are reportedly one of the teams set to host Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan for a pre-draft visit.

Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan has an extensive list of teams that he's scheduled to visit before the 2013 NFL Draft. He has already visited a few teams, but most of his visits haven't taken place just yet.

The Detroit Lions are one of the teams Jordan is scheduled to visit in the near future, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jordan also has visits lined up with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. Already, Jordan has visited the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles.

As evidenced by the teams on Jordan's visit list, he is expected to be a top-10 pick. Most analysts don't see him as a likely pick of the Lions because he's believed to be better suited for a team than runs the 3-4 defense, but that's just speculation. If Ezekiel Ansah and the top tackles are gone before the No. 5 overall pick, the Lions may have to go a bit outside of the box to address one of their most pressing needs in the first round, so you can't close the door on someone like Jordan.

In addition to Jordan, the Lions are also scheduled to host Dee Milliner, Jarvis Jones and Tavon Austin for pre-draft visits. All of them are expected to be first-round picks, and the Lions are planning to take a close look at them before the draft arrives in three weeks.
