The Detroit Lions have parted ways with cornerback Conroy Black.

The Detroit Lions' seemingly daily cycle of going from 89 to 90 players and back continued on Thursday when the team released cornerback Conroy Black. The Lions just got back to 90 players on Wednesday with the addition of cornerback DeQuan Menzie off waivers, but the release of Black means the roster is once again at 89 players.

Black originally joined the Lions as a member of the practice squad last season. He signed a futures contract after the season ended, and he took part in the Lions' rookie minicamp last weekend.

Before joining the Lions, Black was a member of the Oakland Raiders. He originally joined them last year as an undrafted free agent out of Utah.

The Lions are now up to six moves this week. Here's a recap of them:

  • Claimed: CB DeQuan Menzie
  • Signed: OG Darren Keyton, DE Freddie Bishop
  • Released: RB Devin Moore, C Skyler Allen, CB Conroy Black
