Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE
  • According to ESPN's Mike Sando, the Detroit Lions are entering the 2013 season as the 16th-oldest team in the NFL when it comes to the average age of their projected starters. The Lions are actually the sixth-oldest team offensively, but their defense is much younger, coming in at 23rd in the rankings. (The Chicago Bears, by the way, have the oldest projected starting lineup in the NFL.)
  • The Lions are apparently changing up how their defensive ends rush the quarterback from the Wide-9 alignment.
  • Reggie Bush thinks the Lions are the most talented team he's ever played for.
  • Bush has been pretty impressed with the reception he's gotten since joining the Lions.
  • Bush said this week that he came to Detroit to "work" and "win championships."
  • Matthew Stafford was asked this week if he thinks the Lions are his team from a leadership standpoint, and he responded by saying, "Yeah, absolutely."
  • Stafford isn't too worried about the offensive line undergoing numerous changes this offseason.
  • Pro Football Focus' series on "Secret Superstars" looked at Joique Bell on Thursday.
  • Jim Schwartz thinks the time has come for Ndamukong Suh to be a leader.
