- According to ESPN's Mike Sando, the Detroit Lions are entering the 2013 season as the 16th-oldest team in the NFL when it comes to the average age of their projected starters. The Lions are actually the sixth-oldest team offensively, but their defense is much younger, coming in at 23rd in the rankings. (The Chicago Bears, by the way, have the oldest projected starting lineup in the NFL.)
