The Detroit Lions' rookie minicamp begins on Friday, and the expectation is for nearly all of their 2013 draft picks to be under contract before it comes to a close on Sunday. Contract negotiations are pretty straightforward nowadays, especially for non-first-round picks, as evidenced by the fact that the Lions signed four of their 2013 picks on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Aaron Wilson, the Lions have signed sixth-round picks Corey Fuller and Theo Riddick and seventh-round picks Michael Williams and Brandon Hepburn. These players were the Lions' final four picks of the 2013 NFL Draft, and all of them received four-year deals.
Via Wilson, here are more details on each player's contract:
- WR Corey Fuller - 4 years, $2.283 million ($123,100 signing bonus)
- RB Theo Riddick - 4 years, $2.25 million ($91,000 signing bonus)
- TE Michael Williams - 4 years, $2.22 million ($65,148 signing bonus)
- LB Brandon Hepburn - 4 years, $2.205 million ($45,896 signing bonus)
With these deals complete, Ezekiel Ansah, Darius Slay, Larry Warford, Devin Taylor and Sam Martin are the only Lions draft picks that still need to sign.
