- Former Detroit Lions great Charlie Sanders thinks pretty highly of tight end Brandon Pettigrew.
Until Pettigrew is able to eliminate his issues with drops and be more consistent, I think it's a stretch to have him rated that highly. - Speaking of Pettigrew, he made Tim Twentyman's list of five Lions players who need to have a bounce-back performance in 2013.
- The Lions are 25th in NFL.com's latest set of power rankings. This puts them in last in the NFC North, as the Green Bay Packers are fifth, the Minnesota Vikings are 11th and the Chicago Bears are 13th.
