Ndamukong Suh says missing playoffs would be 'absolute disappointment'

The Detroit Lions got a taste of the playoffs for the first time in a long time back in the 2011 season. They went 10-6 and snagged a spot in the postseason as one of the wild-card teams. Unfortunately, their stay in the playoffs was short-lived, as they were eliminated by the New Orleans Saints in the first round.

Last year, the Lions wanted to build on what they did in 2011 by making a second straight playoff appearance. They didn't even come close to accomplishing that feat, though. Instead, the Lions went 4-12 and returned to the top five of the NFL Draft rather than the postseason.

This year, despite coming off of a disappointing season, expectations are still quite high for the Lions, as evidenced by what defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh told ESPN's Ed Werder last week. Suh will not only be disappointed if the Lions don't make the playoffs, but he will be disappointed if they aren't able to actually win in the postseason. From Pro Football Talk:

"I would think it would be an absolute disappointment if we don’t make it to the playoffs and have an opportunity to win in those playoff games," Suh said. "It’s a matter of just putting it together."

What would you consider a disappointing season for the Lions in 2013? Obviously the goal for all 32 NFL teams is to win the Super Bowl and at the very least make the playoffs. But given what happened last season, would simply going .500 or better in 2013 be acceptable in your mind, or is it playoffs or bust?
