Pride Of Detroit is counting down the top 10 Detroit Lions players of 2013, as voted on by readers of the site. 1,051 ballots were submitted, and next up is a look at the No. 8 player on the list.

No. 8 - OT Riley Reiff - 2,139 points (5 first-place votes)

Offensive tackle Riley Reiff is only entering his second season in the NFL, but he has already cracked the Top 10 Lions of 2013. Reiff came in eighth with 2,139 points after being included on 512 of the 1,051 ballots. He received five first-place votes, and he jumped all the way up to eighth after being ranked 19th before his rookie season.

Reiff made a total of eight starts in 2012, but he wasn't a traditional starter on the offensive line. Instead, he was basically the Lions' sixth offensive lineman, and he served as the H-back of sorts in various packages. Reiff did make one start at left tackle, but every other game he played more as an H-back than a true offensive lineman.

This year, Reiff is expected to take over the starting job at left tackle. The expectation at the end of last season was that Reiff would get a year at right tackle first, but Jeff Backus' retirement moved up the timetable for Reiff to start at left tackle.

Training camp will ultimately determine which players end up starting at which positions on the offensive line, but given where Reiff practiced in the offseason program, the starting left tackle job appears to belong to him.
