Pro Football Talk unveiled the top 25 spots on its top 100 list on Monday. In turn, it was revealed that the list, which was voted on by members of the NFL media, has Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson ranked fifth.
This is actually two spots lower than where Johnson was ranked in NFL Network's annual top 100, which is based on votes by NFL players. Johnson has been third on that list each of the last two years, but he was two spots lower in PFT's Top 100.
The four players ahead of Johnson in PFT's Top 100 are as follows: Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and quarterback Matthew Stafford also made PFT's Top 100 for the Lions. Suh came in 54th, while Stafford was ranked 87th.
