What improvements do you want to see in the Lions coaching staff this year in each phase of the game?

After a terrible season last year, Lions fans are welcoming a change for the good. With a lot of player turnover last year, upgrading in some key areas and opening up question marks in others, it finally seems like the Lions have the talent to do things that they could not last year. And to get those things done, they are going to have to be coached up well. So what improvements do you want to see out of our coaches on offense, defense, and special teams when the regular season launches? Write me down below and let me know.

In the meantime, here are some of my thoughts:

  • On offense, I'd like to see our O.C. use more no-huddle/high tempo offenses on opposing defenses. We've got 3 new starters on our O-Line, and if we have any issues with our blocking, one of the best ways to help them would be to get the ball out quick. I think it would help make the offense more unpredictable and harder to catch up to.
  • On defense, I want to see more blitzing on the proper occasions. We've upgraded our DB talent and now it's time for us to start creating more turnovers & get more stops by getting after the quarterback. Our D.C. has also got to be able to adapt better on the fly too.
  • On special teams, I like the sound of the Lions special teams practices. We've upgraded our talent all around on special teams, so we should be giving up less yards & hopefully the Lions will get big gains on our run backs. It should be much improved from last year by week 1.
  • And finally out of Jim Schwartz, I want him to be ready to adapt on the fly. He's seen a lot different game time situations in his tenure in Detroit. He's got to be adapting to situations as they arise. I'd also like to see him controlling his emotions positively and management of his play-challenging lol.
