Detroit Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah didn't take part in practice on Sunday. It appears that he intended to practice considering he was out there to stretch, but he had a towel over his head and left before practice started, according to Dave Birkett. The thinking is that Ansah is still dealing with the effects of a big hit he took during Saturday's practice.
#Lions Ziggy Ansah left practice early today. Was blind-sided by Leroy Harris on Saturday. Schwartz won't discuss possibility of concussion.

The Lions, as expected, aren't saying anything about if Ansah has a concussion. Jim Schwartz has essentially declined to talk about any specific injuries, so it's unclear what exactly is wrong with Ansah.
In other injury news, quite a few other players were out on Sunday: RB Montell Owens, WR Calvin Johnson, TE Michael Williams, TE Joseph Fauria, DE Jason Jones, DT Ndamukong Suh, S Louis Delmas, S John Wendling and P Sam Martin. Also, DT Nick Fairley missed part of practice because of his left hand injury.
The Lions did get TE Matt Veldman, LB Ashlee Palmer and CB Chris Houston back on Sunday, according to Kyle Meinke, so there was some good news.
