- The Detroit Lions released defensive tackle John Drew and cornerback Ross Weaver from injured reserve on Wednesday.
Havard Rugland cleared waivers after being released by the Lions.
Ziggy Ansah was not at the Lions' kickoff luncheon on Wednesday. This seems like yet another sign that Ansah is dealing with a concussion.
NFL.com's predictions for the 2013 season include a few people selecting Calvin Johnson for Offensive Player of the Year and one person selecting Ndamukong Suh for Defensive Player of the Year. Also, a couple people have Ansah being named the Defensive Rookie of the Year.
