Lions at Bills: 10 players ruled out for Detroit

The Detroit Lions will be without 10 players on Thursday night in Buffalo.

Ron Schwane-USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions will be without 10 total players on Thursday night when they take on the Buffalo Bills, and several of those players are starters. Here's the full list:

RB Reggie Bush
RB Montell Owens
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Ryan Broyles
TE Michael Williams
DE Ziggy Ansah
DT Ndamukong Suh
S Louis Delmas
S Glover Quin
S John Wendling

A lot of the players on this list are likely just dealing with minor bumps and bruises and are out because it's the final preseason game. That may not be the case for Owens, Williams and Ansah, but detailed injury information like that is tough to come by with the Lions.

Stepping into the starting lineup on Thursday night at safety are Don Carey and Tyrell Johnson, according to Tim Twentyman. C.J. Mosley will replace Suh at defensive tackle, while Willie Young will replace Ansah at defensive end. At running back, Joique Bell is the starter.

On the offensive line, Larry Warford is once again starting at right guard and Jason Fox is once again starting at right tackle.
