Here's the good news: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh isn't going to be suspended for his low block on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan. We pretty much found that out on Monday, but it wasn't official until Tuesday.
The bad news, for Suh anyway, is that he has instead been fined $100,000 by the NFL. He was notified of the fine on Tuesday afternoon, and it's merely the latest discipline he has received from the NFL for something questionable on the field. According to Carlos Monarrez, Suh has now lost $342,500 from NFL discipline.
On Tuesday, when the Lions returned to start preparing for the next game, Suh apologized to his teammates for the penalty. He also apologized to DeAndre Levy for costing him a touchdown, according to Dave Birkett.

The fact that Suh didn't get suspended is obviously good news, but he's probably run out of strikes should he do anything questionable on the field again. $100,000 is a lot of money for a low block, but it's a sign that the NFL is running out of patience with Suh. Hopefully he'll finally learn and be a bit more careful going forward.
