Reggie Bush injury: Lions RB hurts left knee

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush hurt his left knee in Sunday's game.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

On a 26-yard reception in the second quarter of Sunday's game, Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush went down with a left knee injury. He suffered the injury on a tackle by Arizona Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson, who made the stop on what turned out to be a big third-down conversion by the Lions. (They scored a touchdown later in the drive on a pass to Calvin Johnson.)

Bush stayed down in pain and held his left knee. Trainers attended to him before he limped off the field under his own power. He continued to receive attention on the sideline, and according to FOX, trainers put a brace on Bush's left knee.

Officially, Bush's return is questionable, according to the Lions. It certainly looks as if he will try to give it a go at some point, but he is currently watching the action from the sideline with less than two minutes to go in the first half.

Additional updates will be provided on Bush's status as they become available.

UPDATE: Bush returned to the game on the Lions' next drive.

UPDATE II: Here's the latest on Bush following Sunday's game.
