There was good and bad news about Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush on Thursday. Let's start with the bad news. Bush didn't practice on Thursday because of his knee injury. He was also out on Wednesday, which doesn't seem to bode well for his status on Sunday.
This is where the good news comes in. Although he hasn't practiced this week, Bush remains "optimistic" about playing against the Washington Redskins. He is planning to take part in practice on Friday in order to see where his injury is at, and he said on Thursday that he's already "further along" than he expected, according to Josh Katzenstein. Hopefully that means he will be able to give it a go on Sunday.
Here's the Lions' full Thursday injury report:
RB Reggie Bush (knee) - Did not practice
WR Patrick Edwards (ankle) - Did not practice
OT Jason Fox (groin) - Did not practice
OG Rob Sims (knee) - Limited in practice
DT Nick Fairley (shoulder) - Limited in practice
