Through three games, undrafted free agent tight end Joseph Fauria has 2 touchdowns. The rookie has become a legitimate weapon in the red zone for the Detroit Lions, and he has already become quite well known for his celebrations. In Week 1, for example, he broke out a Miley Cyrus-like dance after scoring his first career touchdown.
On Sunday against the Washington Redskins, Fauria did the 'N Sync "Bye, Bye, Bye" dance following his latest touchdown. Even better, he tweeted this line from the song following the game:
You may hate me, but it ain't no lie...

How did he come up with this particular celebration? WXYZ's Brad Galli pointed out that Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake did a sketch on the "Evolution of End Zone Dancing" earlier this month. At the end of the sketch, Fallon did the dance we saw Fauria perform on Sunday, and it turns out that Fallon later offered to match the fine and donate it to charity if any player did a celebration from the video.
Now, Fauria won't be fined for his celebration, but perhaps he will get a donation to charity from Fallon anyway. And at the very least, perhaps he will receive some extra attention for the celebration on Late Night on Monday.
