- Jim Schwartz told Adrian Peterson after their Week 1 game that the Lions spent a month game-planning for him. That's life as the NFL's best running back in an offense without a real passing threat, I suppose.
- Speaking of the Minnesota Vikings, Christian Ponder is out this week with a rib injury. Matt Cassel will start at quarterback as a result.
- One other Vikings note: They may be interested in trading for Josh Freeman. Good luck with that.
- The Chicago Bears signed former Lions defensive tackle Landon Cohen on Friday.
