  • Two Detroit Lions players were fined for penalties from last week's game: C.J. Mosley and Nick Fairley.
  • In case you missed it on Friday, Ndamukong Suh did not receive a fine for the play involving Eric Winston in Week 2, according to Justin Rogers.

  • This week's MLive Q&A is with Louis Delmas. It's quite a read.

  • It's been a while since the Lions picked off Jay Cutler.
  • Joique Bell is quite strong.
  • Jim Schwartz told Adrian Peterson after their Week 1 game that the Lions spent a month game-planning for him. That's life as the NFL's best running back in an offense without a real passing threat, I suppose.

  • Speaking of the Minnesota Vikings, Christian Ponder is out this week with a rib injury. Matt Cassel will start at quarterback as a result.

  • One other Vikings note: They may be interested in trading for Josh Freeman. Good luck with that.

  • The Chicago Bears signed former Lions defensive tackle Landon Cohen on Friday.
