NFL predictions 2013: Make your picks for Super Bowl, awards and more

Which team will win the Super Bowl? Who will be named offensive and defensive MVP? It's time to make predictions for the 2013 NFL season.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday night with the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens taking on the Denver Broncos. The game will mark the official start of the journey toward Super Bowl 48, and it will mark the unofficial deadline for fans to make predictions for the 2013 season.

So, which team will win Super Bowl 48? Who will be named offensive and defensive MVP? Here are my predictions for the 2013 season:

Super Bowl matchup: Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos
Super Bowl champion: Seahawks
Offensive MVP: Peyton Manning
Defensive MVP: J.J. Watt
Coach of the year: Pete Carroll
Rookie of the year: Tavon Austin

As you can see, I'm pretty high on the Seahawks' chances of winning it all this season. I think they will get past the San Francisco 49ers to make the Super Bowl, and I think they will take down Peyton Manning and the Broncos for the title.

What are your predictions for the 2013 NFL season?
