Where in the world is Ken Whisenhunt? San Diego, according to Jason La Canfora. It turns out that Whisenhunt did not get an early flight to Detroit or anything like that in order to meet with the Lions on Monday. Instead, Whisenhunt went back to San Diego with the Chargers in order to go through their usual end-of-season meetings.
Whisenhunt flew back to San Diego with the Chargers after their loss in Denver, and is in team meetings today. Normal end-of-season stuff

No meetings involving Whisenhunt and the Lions or Whisenhunt and the Tennessee Titans are scheduled for Monday, according to La Canfora. This seemingly means that the Lions will not have a new head coach until Tuesday at the earliest. Whisenhunt could certainly make his way to Detroit by the end of Monday, but a second interview or actual contract negotiations probably won't take place until Tuesday.
Considering that a decision from Whisenhunt is expected relatively soon, Tuesday feels like the day something will happen. Whisenhunt is spending Monday wrapping up the season with the Chargers, but he should be free Tuesday to continue exploring head coaching jobs. Assuming the Lions want to get something done soon, I reiterate my prediction from Sunday:
Let's hear it... What day/time will news first break that the #Lions have hired Ken Whisenhunt?
