Ken Whisenhunt is set to become the next head coach of the Tennessee Titans, forcing the Detroit Lions to turn to Plan B in their coaching search. As of right now, it looks like Plan B is Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell, who was the first candidate to interview with the Lions a couple weeks back.

Former Titans head coach Mike Munchak is also believed to still be in the mix, according to Chris Mortensen, but all signs point to Caldwell. ESPN reports that Tony Dungy actually spoke with Bill Ford Jr. on Monday "to reaffirm strong attributes he believed Caldwell would bring to the Lions," and after missing out on Whisenhunt, Detroit may be inclined to make a move on Caldwell sooner rather than later.
