Another former Detroit Lions coach has found a new job. Last week, former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz was hired by the Buffalo Bills as their defensive coordinator, and on Monday, former Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan landed a gig with the Dallas Cowboys.
The #Cowboys are going to hire former #Lions OC Scott Linehan on their staff to calls plays, per source.

Adding Linehan is going to make for a very awkward dynamic in Dallas considering that current offensive coordinator Bill Callahan is still there. Earlier there was a report suggesting that Callahan would be unhappy if he loses his play-calling responsibilities, which is quite understandable.
Linehan served as the Lions' offensive coordinator for all five years of Schwartz's time in Detroit. He was let go on the same day as Schwartz, likely because it became clear in the second half of the 2013 season that a change was needed. Turnovers and an overall lack of consistency plagued the offense, and Linehan received the majority of the blame for the offense's collapse.
