This year's Super Bowl is an interesting one from the perspective of a Detroit Lions fan. There is no division rival in this year's game, and unlike last year (hi, Jim Harbaugh!), there's no team with any real bad blood with the Lions. From a rooting standpoint, it really seems like it comes down to your personal thoughts on guys like Richard Sherman and Peyton Manning.
On paper, just based on the matchup in Super Bowl 48, I don't really care whether the Denver Broncos or Seattle Seahawks win. There's just no real connection to the Lions on either side that makes me want one team to win more than the other.
With all that said, I am going to be rooting for the Seahawks on Sunday for purely selfish reasons. Back before the 2013 season began, I predicted that the Seahawks would beat the Broncos in the Super Bowl. I'd like to be able to say that I got that prediction correct, so I guess I'd prefer a Seahawks victory simply for that reason.
Which team do you want to win Super Bowl 48?
