The Detroit Lions have already interviewed Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell, and now they're reportedly working to schedule an interview with another offensive coordinator from the AFC North. Specifically, the Lions and three other teams have requested an interview with Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, according to Jason La Canfora.
Four teams requested permission to interview Jay Gruden shortly after CIN loss last night, sources said - Skins, Vikings, Lions and Titans

Gruden was first linked to the Lions on Sunday. It was reported that he's on the Lions' "coaching wish list," and that report has seemingly been confirmed by the news of an interview being in the works. With the Bengals losing on Sunday to the San Diego Chargers, Gruden can turn all of his attention to interviews, and teams won't have to wait to hire him if they want to make him their next head coach.
It's unclear when exactly the Lions will interview Gruden, and it's also unclear if they are planning to interview Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer. The Lions were linked to Zimmer on Friday, but there's been no word of an interview just yet.
UPDATE: Hmm...
Gruden was asked specifically if he'd interview with Lions/if they asked, said "I don’t know about that one." Said he go to Minn, Ten, Wash
