Lions notes: Jason Jones, Ken Whisenhunt, more

Lions notes looks at Jason Jones' recovery from his season-ending injury, Ken Whisenhunt and much more.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports
  • It seems many people around the league think quite highly of the Detroit Lions based on this ESPN Insider piece by Mike Sando. The Lions were praised for their stadium, "versatile" personnel and ownership, and one unnamed executive said this: "The Fords do things first-class behind the scenes and they give you time."

  • Jason Jones, who suffered a season-ending injury (ruptured patellar tendon) early in the 2013 season, is hoping to start running in the next month or so as he continues rehabbing.

  • Dave Birkett has a great story on Ken Whisenhunt's experience with coaching quarterbacks.

  • Thanks, Kansas City!
  • Losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars was most definitely not a good sign for head coaches in 2013.
