As expected, the Detroit Lions will be without both running back Reggie Bush and wide receiver Calvin Johnson on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Both players are dealing with ankle injuries, and both players are out after missing practice all week.
Johnson's absence has really been a few weeks in the making. He was limited in the last two games, so much so that he was really a decoy more than anything. When a pass was finally thrown in his direction last week, he aggravated his injury -- a high-ankle sprain -- and now he's being shut down for at least one week.
As for Bush, he actually was questionable coming into Sunday despite not practicing all week. There was an outside chance of him playing as a result, but the Lions have decided to sit him as well this week. With Joique Bell and Theo Riddick both back on Sunday after missing a game, the Lions should be able to handle the loss of Bush on Sunday, but making up for the loss of both him and Johnson will obviously be tough to pull off.
Here's the full list of inactives for the Lions:
QB Kellen Moore
RB Reggie Bush
WR Calvin Johnson
TE Joseph Fauria
OT Garrett Reynolds
DE Larry Webster
LB Travis Lewis
And here's the Vikings' inactives for Sunday:
FB Zach Line
TE Kyle Rudolph
OT David Yankey
OG Austin Wentworth
DE Scott Crichton
LB Chad Greenway
LB Brandon Watts
