Lions notes: Ryan Broyles, Joique Bell, more

Lions notes looks at Ryan Broyles, Joique Bell, the NFL's most popular teams and much more.

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports
  • Jim Caldwell has spoken with Ryan Broyles, who vented on Twitter on Sunday about his lack of playing time. With Calvin Johnson and Jeremy Ross both dealing with ankle injuries, perhaps this will be the week that Broyles finally has a bigger role in the offense.

  • This week, ESPN's Michael Rothstein took a look at how Ross gets ready for game day.

  • Joique Bell gave quite a speech after Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings.

  • According to a Harris Interactive poll, the Detroit Lions are the 13th-most popular team in the NFL. By comparison, the Lions were 22nd last year, and they were actually 30th just four years ago (amazingly, the Seattle Seahawks, which are now sixth, were 31st that year). In fact, this is the highest the Lions have ever been since Harris Interactive started conducting this poll in 1998.

  • This is just funny:
  • The New Orleans Saints have not had much success on the road as of late.
