Lions injury report: Cassius Vaughn returns to practice

Several players missed practice again, but the Detroit Lions did get cornerback Cassius Vaughn back on Thursday.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Not much changed about the Detroit Lions' injury report on Thursday. Running back Joique Bell once again missed practice, and his chances of playing on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills don't sound very good. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson was also sidelined again on Thursday, suggesting that he's on the same plan as last week (sit out practice until Friday and then mainly serve as a decoy on Sunday).

Believe it or not, but there was actually some good news for Lions on Thursday, as cornerback Cassius Vaughn returned to practice. He was limited, and it's unclear if he will actually be able to play on Sunday, but this is obviously a step in the right direction for Vaughn, who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

Here's the Lions' full injury report for Thursday:

RB Joique Bell (concussion) - Did not practice
RB Theo Riddick (hamstring) - Did not practice
WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) - Did not practice
WR Golden Tate (hamstring) - Limited in practice
TE Joseph Fauria (ankle) - Did not practice
OT LaAdrian Waddle (calf) - Fully practiced
DE Devin Taylor (knee) - Limited in practice
DT Nick Fairley (knee) - Limited in practice
LB Travis Lewis (quadricep) - Did not practice
CB Cassius Vaughn (ankle) - Limited in practice
S Don Carey (hamstring) - Fully practiced
