Before they lost to the Buffalo Bills earlier this month, the Detroit Lions jumped into the top 10 across the board in the NFL power rankings we track each week. With the loss, they quickly dropped back into the teens, but with two straight wins since then, the Lions have returned to the top 10 in nearly all six sets of power rankings. Take a look:
- SB Nation: 8th (up from 13th)
- NFL.com: 11th (up from 13th)
- ESPN: 10th (up from 13th)
- CBS Sports: 10th (up from 13th)
- FOX Sports: 7th (up from 8th)
- Pro Football Talk: 10th (up from 14th)
Only NFL.com has the Lions outside of the top 10 right now. The other websites all have the Lions at least 10th, and FOX Sports, which has been high on them all season, has Detroit seventh.
The Atlanta Falcons, which will take on the Lions in London this week, are currently 25th (SB Nation), 27th (NFL.com), 25th (ESPN), 26th (CBS Sports), 27th (FOX Sports) and 25th (Pro Football Talk). Given that the Falcons are a disappointing 2-5 so far this season, it's no surprise that they are ranked so low. The Falcons have looked like one of the NFL's worst teams as of late, and the Lions will try to hand them their fifth loss in a row on Sunday in London.
