Lions-Falcons injury report: Reggie Bush doubtful for Sunday

Reggie Bush is unlikely to play on Sunday for the Detroit Lions, but there's a chance that Calvin Johnson could return.

Leon Halip

It appears that the Detroit Lions are once again going to be down several weapons on offense this week. Running back Reggie Bush, for example, is doubtful to play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons after not practicing on Thursday and Friday. Tight end Brandon Pettigrew is also doubtful, and tight ends Eric Ebron and Joseph Fauria have already been declared out for Sunday's game.

On a positive note, wide receiver Calvin Johnson was able to practice on a limited basis for three consecutive days this week. He is officially questionable for Sunday, but the chances of him playing seem to be increasing. It would certainly be nice to simply rest him going into the bye week, but with their top three tight ends and starting running back sidelined, the Lions could be in serious need of Megatron on Sunday.

Here's the Lions' final injury report for Week 8:

RB Reggie Bush (ankle) - Doubtful
RB Theo Riddick (hamstring) - Probable
WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) - Questionable
TE Eric Ebron (hamstring) - Out
TE Joseph Fauria (ankle) - Out
TE Brandon Pettigrew (foot) - Doubtful
OT LaAdrian Waddle (concussion) - Questionable
DE Ziggy Ansah (toe) - Probable
LB Josh Bynes (teeth) - Probable

And here's the Falcons' final injury report for Week 8:

WR Harry Douglas (foot) - Questionable
WR Julio Jones (ankle) - Probable
OG Justin Blalock (back) - Probable
DE Jonathan Babineaux (foot) - Questionable
LB Prince Shembo (knee) - Probable
