Ziggy Ansah has certainly made the most of the Detroit Lions' trip to England.
Ziggy Ansah said he took a cab and surprised his sister, who lives in London that he hadn't seen in six years. #LionsInLondon

- The Lions practiced at Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa this week. It's located in Bagshot, England, and it's the home of England Rugby. More than anything, though, it looks like a pretty nice place to spend a few days.
Our hotel in Bagshot, UK is off the charts. Tomorrow we'll be moving into downtown London. Buckingham Palace anyone? pic.twitter.com/8THnWSxBjP

- Jim Caldwell had a pretty great line about the hotel:
#Lions Caldwell on spa at hotel "I haven't been there, but my wife is here and I'm sure she'll tell me aaaall about it."

- The Lions really put a lot of thought and extra preparation into their trip to London.
Defensive coaches took two extra Fridays during the season to study Falcons and work on gameplan stuff.
— Dave Birkett (@davebirkett) October 22, 2014Caldwell and #Lions consulted the military for this trip. Military knows what it takes to travel and hit ground running when they get there.
— Tim Twentyman (@ttwentyman) October 22, 2014Caldwell said they gave out packets & put information on iPads & had sleep specialist to come in and chat with #Lions about travel.

- With the Lions in London, Jim Brandstatter won't be able to do color commentary on the Lions' radio broadcast on Sunday. He'll be in East Lansing on Saturday to call Michigan/Michigan State, and he will be replaced in the Lions' radio booth by Rob Rubick on Sunday. Brandstatter will at least contribute to the Lions' radio coverage, though.
Just to let you all know, I will be working Lions broadcast from Southfield...pre game, half, and post game...listen in at 97.1 the ticket
