- James Ihedigbo was fined $16,000 for a hit on Geno Smith last week. Actually, the fine turned out to be from Ihedigbo's first snap back from injury, according to Justin Rogers. Paula Pasche reports that Ihedigbo is going to appeal the fine.
- After being placed on injured reserve earlier this week, Montell Owens' locker was removed from the Detroit Lions' locker room. It's unclear why that happened, but it's probably a good indication that he will be released with an injury settlement at some point.
- George Winn, who was promoted from the practice squad to take Owens' roster spot and is now on his eighth (!) NFL contract, is actually living with his parents in West Bloomfield.
