Lions injury report: Joique Bell returns to practice

Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell returned to practice on Thursday.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

After having five players sidelined on Wednesday, the Detroit Lions were without only three players on Thursday. That's because running back Joique Bell and wide receiver Calvin Johnson were back at practice on Thursday. Johnson returned after simply getting a day off, and Bell was back after missing practice with an ankle injury. It's likely that he was merely given a day off as well.

Unlike Bell and Johnson, defensive end Jason Jones did not return to practice on Thursday. It turns out he is dealing with a family situation, and his status for Sunday is up in the air as a result:

Here's the Lions' full injury report for Thursday:

RB Joique Bell (ankle) - Limited in practice
RB Reggie Bush (ankle) - Limited in practice
WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) - Limited in practice
TE Brandon Pettigrew (foot) - Limited in practice
OT LaAdrian Waddle (knee) - Limited in practice
OG Larry Warford (knee) - Did not practice
DE Jason Jones (not injury related) - Did not practice
DT Nick Fairley (knee) - Did not practice
